Johnston – Rogers Engagement Mr. and Mrs. Dean Walter of Liberal announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheryl Renee Johnston, to Jeffery Wayne Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rogers of Harrison, AR. The bride-elect is a 1991 graduate of Liberal High School and a 1995 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently employed as the office manager for the NCA Group, an independent insurance adjusting company in Kansas City. Her fiancé is a 1991 graduate of Bergman High School, a 1995 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a 1998 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars, as well as having passed both the CPA and C.M.A. exams. He is currently employed as a tax consultant with Ernst and Young L.L.P. in Kansas City. The couple has planned a wedding for September 23, 2000 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Overland Park, KS.
